Our research group at ICAR-CNR in Palermo aim to develop a framework of services that implement integration, en- richment and interlinking phases taking as input heterogeneous government and public agencies open data. In order to test this methodology and develop the framework we have choosed to work with the specific area of interest of tourism open data. Prior to implement the integration framework we have developed a novel domain ontology for tourism - eTourism, covering both aspect of services (hotels, B&B, etc.), cultural resources (museum, cultural places, etc.) and events. The ontology was used as model for transforming the data with a common vocabulary and thus create RDF triples validated by the ontology concepts. In order to transform open data into RDF triples we have implemented the conversion modules of tabular (CSV) and XML data using as test different sources of information like MIBAC, Regione Calabria and Camera di Commercio. Preliminar test on erichment and interlinking phases were done using SPARQL 1.1 federated queries in order to infer new triples and interlink the data with other datasets in the Linked Data Cloud, thus improving the information available for the citiziens with other knowledge coming from DBpedia, Geonames, LinkedGeoData, GADM and other LOD da- tasets. Abstract
