The SCIs (Sites of Community Importance), recognized for the Habitats Directive, are intended to conserve the natural and semi-natural landscape, flora and fauna and preserve the species in general as the European Community Heritage. The SCIs have great importance for the environmental quality of the territory and for the protection and restoration of biodiversity. This paper aims to describe the SCI "Monti della Laga" through an evaluation conducted by the Italian Ministry of Environment, analyzing the ecological elements more representative.
