Since 2002 an Italian team is operating on the archaeological complex of Chan Chan (UNESCO WHL) with the aim to provide the documentation for the conservation and valorisation of the site. In order to achieve the expected results it has been necessary to arrange the integration of various technologies for data acquisition and organization. Due to the wide extension of the site (14 Km2), its complete knowledge and the spread of the information to the community (scientists and tourists) are actually impossible, for logistic and security reasons. The tourists are allowed to visit Palacio Tschudi, the only restored one, but cannot understand the complexity of the town nor perceive its uncommon vastness. For these reasons in 2012 we carried on a territorial survey finalized to build a panoramic tour of the site that has been installed in the local Museum in order to constitute a pre-visit to the monumental complex.
