We investigate the electromagnetic response of a novel class of multi-layered metamaterials exhibiting one-dimensional mirror asymmetry. In the quasi-homogenized, we prove that the effect of mirror asymmetry yields a specific electromagnetic chiral response. © 2014 IEEE.
