The progressive realization of the right to food requires that adequate resources be allocated to this goal by States. However, the available resources are increasingly limited, and resource allocation undermined, by the contemporary financial crisis and economic recession as well as by anti-crisis measures to be adopted for the alleviation of debt and debt-service burdens of countries. The aim of the article is twofold: to establish the content of the right to food obligations in times of financial crisis compelling States to adopt cut-back measures of public expenditures; to assess which are the limits in which anti-crisis measures should be circumscribed from the perspective of assuring the enjoyment of the right to food. Finally the article discusses some problems concerning the possibility to deal with the right to food as a justiciable right.

Abstract
Finally the article discusses some problems concerning the possibility to deal with the right to food as a justiciable right.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
