the Sardinian's paucity of medieval sources - public and/or private - does not counterbalance the external ones' wealth, mainly the Iberian sources. All of this implies that texts need to be read with a more than ever careful and critical look at each single term in the hope of revealing their true semantic and cultural meaning and, in so doing, to achieve a more reliable and accurate reconstruction of the Sardinian events. This island sources' paucity over time has enabled part of the historiography on Medieval Sardinia to make History telling more than what the sources affirm.

Abstract
the Sardinian's paucity of medieval sources - public and/or private - does not counterbalance the external ones' wealth, mainly the Iberian sources. All of this implies that texts need to be read with a more than ever careful and critical look at each single term in the hope of revealing their true semantic and cultural meaning and, in so doing, to achieve a more reliable and accurate reconstruction of the Sardinian events. This island sources' paucity over time has enabled part of the historiography on Medieval Sardinia to make History telling more than what the sources affirm.File in questo prodotto:
