The ISEPS (Ion Source and Extraction Power Supplies) is a complex system supplied by OCEM Energy Technology s.r.l. under a contract with Fusion for Energy (F4E), covering the units required for SPIDER and MITICA and for the two ITER Neutral Beam Injectors. ISEPS system is composed of high voltage power supplies, high current power supplies, radiofrequency generators and all the related subsystems necessary to power the ion source of ITER Heating Neutral Beam Injector and for extracting an ion beam. The first unit is part of the experiment SPIDER, currently under construction at the Neutral Beam Test Facility in Padua - Italy at Consorzio RFX premises. The Test Facility has the aim to realize a full size prototype of the negative Deuteron/Hydrogen ion source for the Neutral Beam Injectors of ITER, the international project to design and build an experimental fusion reactor based on the "Tokamak" concept. This paper presents the status of the first ISEPS system and illustrates the development of the dedicated control electronics as well as the site tests to be performed on the system.
