Measurements of polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons PAHs associated to fine fraction of airborne particulate have been conducted in schools and houses of Rome, Italy. Indoor concentrations were compared with respective outdoor amounts and with the values recorded at the ARPA Lazio network stations. The investigation was restricted to the seven "carcinogenic PAHs" and to two mutagenic congeners and was carried out during winter (December 2011 to February 2012). The results suggest that the degree of indoor pollution is similar to that outdoor and the percent composition of PAHs remains quite constant. Thus children and elderly, which are the most sensitive segments of population vs. pollutants, are particularly exposed to this kind of pollutants.

Abstract
Thus children and elderly, which are the most sensitive segments of population vs. pollutants, are particularly exposed to this kind of pollutants.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
