After the collisional stage, the inner northern Apennines (i.e., southern Tuscany) have been affected by extensional tectonics, coeval with Late Miocene-Present magmatism. In the Boccheggiano-Montieri area hydrothermal mineralizations are located in the damage zones of the Pliocene normal faults and along the sub-horizontal detachment surfaces of the Oligocene thrusts and Miocene normal faults. On the basis of structural and fluid inclusions analyses, we propose a fluid-flow model with the older and youngest cataclasites hydrologically connected and commonly pervaded by the same geothermal fluids.

Abstract
After the collisional stage, the inner northern Apennines (i.e., southern Tuscany) have been affected by extensional tectonics, coeval with Late Miocene-Present magmatism. In the Boccheggiano-Montieri area hydrothermal mineralizations are located in the damage zones of the Pliocene normal faults and along the sub-horizontal detachment surfaces of the Oligocene thrusts and Miocene normal faults. On the basis of structural and fluid inclusions analyses, we propose a fluid-flow model with the older and youngest cataclasites hydrologically connected and commonly pervaded by the same geothermal fluids.File in questo prodotto:
