Magneto-plasmonics is a novel interdisciplinary topic that explores the properties of hybrid nanosystems with plasmonic and magnetic activity. These nanosystems, beside being a new class of multifunctional materials, exhibit new properties due to the synergy between the plasmonic and magnetic parts that occurs at nanoscale. The seminar will illustrate the different morphologies of these heterostructures, their new properties and impact in established and promising magnetic and plasmonic applications. Magnetic tunable plasmonic devices, nanomaterials with enhanced magneto-optical properties and the concept of spinplasmonics, between others, will be presented and discussed.

Abstract
Magneto-plasmonics is a novel interdisciplinary topic that explores the properties of hybrid nanosystems with plasmonic and magnetic activity. These nanosystems, beside being a new class of multifunctional materials, exhibit new properties due to the synergy between the plasmonic and magnetic parts that occurs at nanoscale. The seminar will illustrate the different morphologies of these heterostructures, their new properties and impact in established and promising magnetic and plasmonic applications. Magnetic tunable plasmonic devices, nanomaterials with enhanced magneto-optical properties and the concept of spinplasmonics, between others, will be presented and discussed.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
