The integrated geologic interpretation of densely spaced multichannel seismic and magnetic profiles, acquired on the continental shelf adjacent to the Vesuvius volcanic edifice has allowed to carry out a three-dimensional magneto-seismic reconstruction of a wide volcanic structure. The structure has been individuated offshore the town of Torre del Greco (Naples) and represents the seaward prolongation of the volcanic edifice. A semi-quantitative interpretation of seismic and bathymetric data, resulting in a topographic and seismic reconstruction of the submerged volcanic structure off Torre del Greco is here presented.

Abstract
The integrated geologic interpretation of densely spaced multichannel seismic and magnetic profiles, acquired on the continental shelf adjacent to the Vesuvius volcanic edifice has allowed to carry out a three-dimensional magneto-seismic reconstruction of a wide volcanic structure. The structure has been individuated offshore the town of Torre del Greco (Naples) and represents the seaward prolongation of the volcanic edifice. A semi-quantitative interpretation of seismic and bathymetric data, resulting in a topographic and seismic reconstruction of the submerged volcanic structure off Torre del Greco is here presented.File in questo prodotto:
