Abstract

In this paper we focus on state-of-the-art analysis and open research issues in the context of Cloud-enabled large-scale sensor networks, which naturally complement the emerging Big Data paradigm. We particularly address how data and processes are represented and managed in such infrastructures, by highlighting benefits and limitations. We also provide rigorous and critical discussion on actual trends and solutions available in literature, along with future research directions in this scientific field.
