This study aims to estimate the temperature increase in fetal tissues due to RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) devices exposure. A mathematical model of fetal to maternal heat exchange, including external heat load due to the RF exposure, was developed on the basis of a multicompartment approach previously described in the literature. The results showed the efficiency of the heat transport system in limiting the temperature increase due to the exposure to 0.02 °C even after 1 hour of exposure.

Abstract
This study aims to estimate the temperature increase in fetal tissues due to RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) devices exposure. A mathematical model of fetal to maternal heat exchange, including external heat load due to the RF exposure, was developed on the basis of a multicompartment approach previously described in the literature. The results showed the efficiency of the heat transport system in limiting the temperature increase due to the exposure to 0.02 °C even after 1 hour of exposure.File in questo prodotto:
