Funghi patogeni e insetti nella lotta biologica alle piante infestanti: opportunità, limiti e prospettive d'impiego congiunto

Fungal pathogens and insects for biological control of weeds: potential, limitations and prospects of joint use. Several studies have been carried out in order to evaluate the potential of joint release of insects and pathogens for biological control of weeds. Some examples are here reported, with the aim of briefly illustrating the possible interactions, both positive and negative, and their perspectives of application, in the light of the increased knowledge of plant-pathogens interactions.

Numerosi studi sono stati realizzati per valutare la possibilità di rilascio congiunto di insetti e patogeni per la lotta biologica alle piante infestanti. Alcuni esempi vengono riportati, con lo scopo di illustrare brevemente le possibili interazioni fra gli agenti, sia positive che negative, e le prospettive di applicazione, alla luce dell'aumentata conoscenza delle interazioni pianta-patogeno.
