Ethernet field bus has been designated as CAN successor both in automotive and agricultural applications by many international councils because of its high throughput and of the possibility to reuse standard technologies like the TCP/IP stack for a better integration with Internet of Things paradigm. This paper would like to present an essential element for the coexistence of this nets, necessary for a long term transition, allowing a transparent communication from a net to the other one.

Abstract
