Agronomic and ecologic aspects of the agroecosystem biodiversity were examined. The protection of the floristic diversity of the agroecosystem represents a crucial role since permit the weed control measures more flexible and less dependent by the conventional chemical methods. The objective of the present work was to review both: the reasons of the genetic erosion of some weed species and the agronomic methods to protect the floristic diversity recently considered the main parameter for the evaluation of the agroecosystem health. The revaluating of allelophatic characteristic of old cultivars, the natural growing of field margins vegetation and the adoption of eco-compatible weed control methods represent some examples of agronomic survival strategy for the weed biodiversity. Finally, the biodiversity role in the perspective of the landscape ecology improving was evidenced.
