In this technical report the results of the appendages-moving simulations carried out by means of the CNR--INSEAN general purpose CFD solver XNavis are presented. Cross and X--rudder configurations are investigated at the reference speed Re=6.65 10^6, for a movement of the appendages which are typical for a bow up/down and turn manoeuvres. Numerical results are presented for medium and fine mesh, allowing an estimation of the numerical uncertainty. Moreover, results are compared with the results of the experimental activities performed at CNR-INSEAN. The presented results are used as a numerical validation for the results described into the report WP-2.4

Abstract
In this technical report the results of the appendages-moving simulations carried out by means of the CNR--INSEAN general purpose CFD solver XNavis are presented. Cross and X--rudder configurations are investigated at the reference speed Re=6.65 10^6, for a movement of the appendages which are typical for a bow up/down and turn manoeuvres. Numerical results are presented for medium and fine mesh, allowing an estimation of the numerical uncertainty. Moreover, results are compared with the results of the experimental activities performed at CNR-INSEAN. The presented results are used as a numerical validation for the results described into the report WP-2.4I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
