We present an accurate model of 3D dielectric cubic corner that is suitable for inclusion in electromagnetic simulators. The model is based on the concept of Simultaneous Transverse Resonance Diffraction (STRD) method. It starts from a consideration of the equivalent current densities on the cube facets and proceeds by employing a classical multipole expansion of the Green's function. The model is then incorporated in the TLM algorithm. The results demonstrate the improvement of the accuracy with respect to the standard simulation.

Abstract

We present an accurate model of 3D dielectric cubic corner that is suitable for inclusion in electromagnetic simulators. The model is based on the concept of Simultaneous Transverse Resonance Diffraction (STRD) method. It starts from a consideration of the equivalent current densities on the cube facets and proceeds by employing a classical multipole expansion of the Green's function. The model is then incorporated in the TLM algorithm. The results demonstrate the improvement of the accuracy with respect to the standard simulation.
