Experiments were carried out on Lidar applications to the remote sensing of land and sea. A laboratory experiment was done on Lidar fluorosensing of oil films on sea water. Four different wavelengths were tested and films of thickness as low as 0. 01 mu m were detected. The ability of a two wavelength Lidar in the signature of topographical targets by means of their reflectance spectra was also investigated. 5 refs.
