In winter 1992-1993 various itinerant surveys of air temperature were carried out at different hours of the day and in different atmospheric conditions using a PT100 sensor placed above a car. The data were stored in a data logger together with the distances run in order to relate them to the changing topographic conditions along the itinerary (about 1000 m of range in altitude, different aspect conditions and soil uses). The data were then related to the temperature measurement. The main aim of the work was to verify the performance of instruments and procedures used, either in regard to the reliability of the data measured or in regard to theirs easy use, that may be useful to extend the significance of any single thermometric series.

Abstract
In winter 1992-1993 various itinerant surveys of air temperature were carried out at different hours of the day and in different atmospheric conditions using a PT100 sensor placed above a car. The data were stored in a data logger together with the distances run in order to relate them to the changing topographic conditions along the itinerary (about 1000 m of range in altitude, different aspect conditions and soil uses). The data were then related to the temperature measurement. The main aim of the work was to verify the performance of instruments and procedures used, either in regard to the reliability of the data measured or in regard to theirs easy use, that may be useful to extend the significance of any single thermometric series.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
