En este arti?culo se discute un modelo que hemos usado para presentar el concepto de entropi?a a estudiantes de la escuela secundaria. Se puede utilizar para discutir con los estu- diantes la reversibilidad del tiempo, la tendencia hacia la homogeneidad y la relacio?n entre la teori?a de la probabilidad y la segunda ley de la termodina?mica. El modelo es u?til para presen- tar aspectos epistemolo?gicos importantes y ayuda a los estudiantes a comprender la conexio?n profunda entre lo macrosco?pico y lo microsco?pico.

In this article we discuss a model used to introduce the concept of entropy with secondary school students. It can be used to discuss with students the reversibility of time, the tendency towards homogeneity and the link between probability theory and second law of thermody- namics. The model is useful to introduce crucial epistemological issues and helps students to understand the deep connection between the macroscopic and the microscopic.

Abstract

In this article we discuss a model used to introduce the concept of entropy with secondary school students. It can be used to discuss with students the reversibility of time, the tendency towards homogeneity and the link between probability theory and second law of thermody- namics. The model is useful to introduce crucial epistemological issues and helps students to understand the deep connection between the macroscopic and the microscopic.
