With the Judgement No. 19985 of 30 September 2011, the Supreme Court of Cassation ruled on the duties of the Italian judiciary with regard to the implementation of the European Convention of Human Rights of 1950. Following the two judgments of the Italian Constitutional Court No. 348 and 349 of 24 October 2007, this decision represents a further contribution of Italian jurisprudence to the domestic implementation process of the ECHR into the Italian legal system.

Abstract

With the Judgement No. 19985 of 30 September 2011, the Supreme Court of Cassation ruled on the duties of the Italian judiciary with regard to the implementation of the European Convention of Human Rights of 1950.
