The wollastonite mineralization of San Leone (Southern Sardinia) occurs near the carbonatic rocks-Hercynian plutonite contact. The mineralization consists of mainly wollastonite, quartz and Kfeldspar; subordinate minerals are hedenbergite, epidote and calcite. The genesis of wollastonite can be attributed to the circulation of hydrothermal high-SiO2 fluids, which metasomatized the carbonatic lenses next to faults and/or fractures. From an economic point of view, the small outcrops strongly discipline the possibility of an exploitation.

Abstract
The wollastonite mineralization of San Leone (Southern Sardinia) occurs near the carbonatic rocks-Hercynian plutonite contact. The mineralization consists of mainly wollastonite, quartz and Kfeldspar; subordinate minerals are hedenbergite, epidote and calcite. The genesis of wollastonite can be attributed to the circulation of hydrothermal high-SiO2 fluids, which metasomatized the carbonatic lenses next to faults and/or fractures. From an economic point of view, the small outcrops strongly discipline the possibility of an exploitation.File in questo prodotto:
