Abstract
Hittite cuneiform texts show a frequent use of proverbs and sayings. These include simple proverbs with a binary structure and more complex maxims with a sapiential flavour. They can be seen as micro-texts which, among other things, shed light on a literature that has not come down to us. Studying them in context clarifies aspects of Hittite rhetoric and strategies of communication in Anatolia of the Late Bronze Age.File in questo prodotto:
