Cellulose acetate (CA), derivatives of a natural polymer, can be easily processed into films, membranes and fibers from either melts or solutions. The combination with the electrospinning technique has allowed the exploration of cellulose acetate at the nano-scale level and its exploitation to multifarious applications, from high absorbing diapers to membrane filters.
