We evaluated serum levels of IL-6 in colol cancer patients and in healthy controls. The results indicate that detectable IL-6 is a more frequent finding in cancer, but it doesnìt seem to be related with histopathological condition of the patients; so, a modulation of the immunological parameters by IL-6, demonstrated "in vitro", isn't detectable "in vivo" in cancer.
