In the present work, a Pd-based catalyst supported on titanium suboxide has been studied for both the oxygen reduction (ORR) and oxygen evolution (OER) reactions in alkaline solution. This catalyst was compared with a Pd-catalyst supported on a carbonaceous support, Vulcan. Due to the low surface area of the Ti-suboxide support, the Pd/Vulcan cata-lyst showed a better performance and reversibility. The next step will concern the stability of these materials for applications in metal-air batteries.

Abstract
In the present work, a Pd-based catalyst supported on titanium suboxide has been studied for both the oxygen reduction (ORR) and oxygen evolution (OER) reactions in alkaline solution. This catalyst was compared with a Pd-catalyst supported on a carbonaceous support, Vulcan. Due to the low surface area of the Ti-suboxide support, the Pd/Vulcan cata-lyst showed a better performance and reversibility. The next step will concern the stability of these materials for applications in metal-air batteries.File in questo prodotto:
