Ethylene + acetylene yields exceeding 68% with selectivities above 80% are obtained over novel doped Pt-LaMnO3 catalysts under self sustained ethane CPO at short contact time. Further insights are presented on the impact of catalyst dopants and type of sacrificial fuel (CH4, CO, H2). The study on the novel catalysts is extended to ethylene and propylene production via CPO of propane.

Abstract
