This chapter describes how disorder in pharmaceutical systems can be studied by means of Solid State NMR (SSNMR). It is organised in four parts: first, an elementary introduction to the basics of SSNMR is given for non-specialists; the two subsequent sections describe how static and dynamic disorder in pharmaceuticals can be studied by means of SSNMR; finally, the case study of Na-ibuprofen, where most of the concepts previously presented have been experimentally exploited, is illustrated in detail.

Abstract
This chapter describes how disorder in pharmaceutical systems can be studied by means of Solid State NMR (SSNMR). It is organised in four parts: first, an elementary introduction to the basics of SSNMR is given for non-specialists; the two subsequent sections describe how static and dynamic disorder in pharmaceuticals can be studied by means of SSNMR; finally, the case study of Na-ibuprofen, where most of the concepts previously presented have been experimentally exploited, is illustrated in detail.File in questo prodotto:
