The paper focuses on the results of an experimental study of the microstructural features and mechanical properties of three pyroclastic deposits from Central Italy: one weak pyroclastic rock from a volcanic complex nearby Rome; and the two materials forming the slab onwhich the historical town of Orvieto is founded. Possible relationships between microstructural features and strength are examined.

Abstract
The paper focuses on the results of an experimental study of the microstructural features and mechanical properties of three pyroclastic deposits from Central Italy: one weak pyroclastic rock from a volcanic complex nearby Rome; and the two materials forming the slab onwhich the historical town of Orvieto is founded. Possible relationships between microstructural features and strength are examined.File in questo prodotto:
