This paper deals with Terahertz (THz) imaging with a specific focus on the reconstruction capabilities offered by the Fiber-Coupled Terahertz Time Domain System (FiCO) developed by Z-Omega and available at IREA-CNR. In this frame, a filtering procedure, based on the concept of the actual frequency bandwidth of the data, is exploited to reduce the noise affecting low and high frequencies and improve the achievable imaging capabilities. An experiment is provided to assess the achievable performances in terms of detection and localization of dielectric material interfaces and imaging of hidden objects.

Abstract
This paper deals with Terahertz (THz) imaging with a specific focus on the reconstruction capabilities offered by the Fiber-Coupled Terahertz Time Domain System (FiCO) developed by Z-Omega and available at IREA-CNR. In this frame, a filtering procedure, based on the concept of the actual frequency bandwidth of the data, is exploited to reduce the noise affecting low and high frequencies and improve the achievable imaging capabilities. An experiment is provided to assess the achievable performances in terms of detection and localization of dielectric material interfaces and imaging of hidden objects.File in questo prodotto:
