Elongation factor EF1 from wheat embryos exists in two forms of different molecular weights (EFIH and EFI L). We now report that the molecular weights of EFl H and EFl L determined by analytical ultracentrifugation are 187,000 f 5000 and 51,000 f 2000, respectively. Sodium dodecyl sulfate disc electrophoresis indicates that in EFI H three peptides A, B, and C are present. The molecular weights of A, B, and C are respectively 52,000, 47,000, and 27,000. In EFI L only peptide A is present.

Abstract
Elongation factor EF1 from wheat embryos exists in two forms of different molecular weights (EFIH and EFI L). We now report that the molecular weights of EFl H and EFl L determined by analytical ultracentrifugation are 187,000 f 5000 and 51,000 f 2000, respectively. Sodium dodecyl sulfate disc electrophoresis indicates that in EFI H three peptides A, B, and C are present. The molecular weights of A, B, and C are respectively 52,000, 47,000, and 27,000. In EFI L only peptide A is present.File in questo prodotto:
