The special issue represents the achievements of a joint effort between the Elsevier, the editor in chief of Computers&Graphics and the guest editors towards setting up a framework within which papers can be submitted together with code and datasets. Code and datasets create so-called "experiments" which can be run during the reviewing process and later on during the reading. The special issue was therefore meant to push the adoption of means of publication of scientific product which ensure reproducibility
