Abstract
Enzymes have been largely employed in the textile field. Amylases are widely used to remove starch from woven fabrics (desizing), pectinase for bioscouring of raw cotton, cellulases for biopolishing of cellulosic fabrics, knits and garments, proteases for the treatment of protein fibers (silk, wool and other animal fibers, catalase for the elimination of hydrogen peroxide following bleaching and before dyeing, laccases for the oxidation of indigo on denim garments are all examples of application of enzyme at industrial level. In the presentation some of the strategies employed to make enzyme even more exploitable in the field of textile will be presented.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
