Abstract
In a liquid crystal system with optical feedback, we show localized spatial structures breaking the circular symmetry and taking a triangular shape. This process is accompanied by the nucleation of a large number of phase singularities that trigger the onset of complex spatio-temporal dynamics for the corresponding spatially extended pattern.File in questo prodotto:
