A photoelectrochemical study of a tris(2,2'-bipyridine)ruthenium(II)-C60 donor-acceptor dyad adsorbed on nanocrystalline semiconductor SnO2 electrodes has been carried out. The results show that the incident photon-to-current conversion efficiency of dyad-based photoelectrochemical cells is ~ 10%.
