Four new diterpenes [15.alpha.,16.alpha.-diacetoxyspongian, C24H38O5; ent-isocopal-12-en-15,16-dial, C20H30O2; 14-iso-ent-isocopal-12-en-15,16-dial and 15-acetoxy-ent-isocopal-12-en-16-al, C22H34O3] were isolated from Spongia officinalis and their structures determined on the basis of spectral and chemical evidence.
