The sediment of the shallow water areas of the whole Venice Lagoon (Fig. 1) was investigated in the framework of the project "Quality of the SEdiment of the Venice Lagoon (QSEV project, 2008-2009). Three 50 cm-long cores were collected in 380 sites, sliced with the depth in 5 aliquots (0-5, 5-10, 10-20, 23-30, 30-50 cm), then le aliquots corresponding to the same depth were homogenised. The obtained 1900 samples were analysed to determine grain-size distribution, and heavy metal, PAH, and PCB concentrations.

Abstract
The sediment of the shallow water areas of the whole Venice Lagoon (Fig. 1) was investigated in the framework of the project "Quality of the SEdiment of the Venice Lagoon (QSEV project, 2008-2009). Three 50 cm-long cores were collected in 380 sites, sliced with the depth in 5 aliquots (0-5, 5-10, 10-20, 23-30, 30-50 cm), then le aliquots corresponding to the same depth were homogenised. The obtained 1900 samples were analysed to determine grain-size distribution, and heavy metal, PAH, and PCB concentrations.File in questo prodotto:
