Bi-parametric (neutron time of flight and deposited energy) measurements using a Single-crystal Diamond Detector (4.5 x 4.5 x 0.5mm(3) active volume) were performed at the n_TOF neutron facility at CERN. The time structure of the neutron beam combined with the long flight path allowed for measurements of the diamond detector response to quasi monoenergetic neutrons in the energy range up to 40 MeV. Deposited energy spectra were compared to MCNPX simulations using different cross section libraries. The results can be used for the interpretation of Single-crystal Diamond Detector measurements of fast neutrons at spallation neutron sources.

Abstract
Bi-parametric (neutron time of flight and deposited energy) measurements using a Single-crystal Diamond Detector (4.5 x 4.5 x 0.5mm(3) active volume) were performed at the n_TOF neutron facility at CERN. The time structure of the neutron beam combined with the long flight path allowed for measurements of the diamond detector response to quasi monoenergetic neutrons in the energy range up to 40 MeV. Deposited energy spectra were compared to MCNPX simulations using different cross section libraries. The results can be used for the interpretation of Single-crystal Diamond Detector measurements of fast neutrons at spallation neutron sources.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
