Recently, chromosomal segments containing genes encoding the allelic pairs of high molecular weight glutenin subunits 5+1O and 2+12 have been translocated on the long arm of chromosome 1A of durum wheat. Several isogenic lines carrying these pairs of subunits have been obtained by using a few Italian durum wheat cultivars as recurrent parents. Moreover, we have used the bread wheat cultivar Perzivan, which has a translocated segment on the short arm of chromosome 1A carrying the Gli- D1/Glu-D3 loci, in order to transfer the corresponding proteins into durum wheat. The effects of such translocations, either individually or in combination with low molecular weight glutenin subunits, on durum wheat technological properties will be discussed.

Abstract
The effects of such translocations, either individually or in combination with low molecular weight glutenin subunits, on durum wheat technological properties will be discussed.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
