This document contains the technical specifications for the procurement of the Central Safety System f or the management of the SPIDER test bed and general Plant Units in the ITER Neutral Beam Test Facility. The SPIDER Central Safety System implements a set of important protection functions related to personnel health and safety, both during and outside the operation of the SPIDER test bed, providing continuous monitoring of potentially dangerous events, automated protection actions and logging of events and data relevant for people safety. The SPIDER Central Safety System is also in charge to set the SPIDER global operating states. The SPIDER Central Safety System manages no functions related to the SPIDER conventional control or equipment protection.
