The aims of the bilateral Project "Phoenician-Punic Archaeology, Geology, Archaeometry, territorial information systems, mining history" between ISMA-CNR and Universitè Moulay Ismail of Meknes were to define the historical and technological context that characterizes the productive metallurgical cycle. In these two years, thanks to the study of literature, the surveys and the archaeometric analysis, it was possible to limit the investigation area within a radius of 200 km around Meknes, in the region of Aouam (Tighza). Archeometric analysis were also carried out (SEM-EDS, XRD and mass spectrometry) on samples collected during the prospections of 2012 and 2013. Six mines (Aouam, Oulmes, Zaida, Imiter, Tabarouch, Ait'Ammar), today still partially active, have been visited and the results were very satisfying. The visit to the mine of Aouam has yielded to the most profitable results, with the identification of a fortress.

Abstract
The visit to the mine of Aouam has yielded to the most profitable results, with the identification of a fortress.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
