Abstract
A model is presented to predict radiative properties of atomic hydrogen plasma for aerospace applications. The aim of this paper is to give a fairly detailed description of the spectral model and basic assumptions used. The model is then applied to the study a strongly non-equilibrium hydrogen plasma through the coupling with a collisional-radiative code for the excited states of hydrogen.
