Abstract
The increasing use of external gear pumps in hydraulic applications makes noise a critical problem. In this viw it is very importanto to make available measurement and analysis techniques able to evaluate each design option in terms of cost to benefit ratio, enhancing the product optimization. This paper presents the application of sound intensity-based procedures to a gear pump case study, the attention being focused on the influence of gear meshing on global pump noise emission.File in questo prodotto:
