The poster focuses on the role played by Scientific Knowledge Dissemination (SKD) as a tool enabling science to be spread in the society: SKD is inspired to the March 2000 Lisbon Special European Council and its "Lisbon Strategy" on a "knowledge-based economy", that set a milestone along the path toward a Europe of Innovation and Knowledge. The poster highlights the most important strategies at European and national (Italian level) aimed at fostering science dissemination within sosciety. These stretegies include funding programmes such as "Science in society" (SiS) and the "Capacities" programme, in the framework of the Seventh Research Framework Programme (FP7). At national level, the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research-funded Legge 6/2000 is put forward as a tool for spreading scientific knowledge mainly within schools. This work, which is based upon the experience at the IAMC-CNR in implementing several science communication-related initiatives along years, finally makes some considerations on SKD. Only, adequate commitment and political will, especially at national level, will be necessary in order to sustain Lisbon Strategy's concepts and make them work.

Abstract
Only, adequate commitment and political will, especially at national level, will be necessary in order to sustain Lisbon Strategy's concepts and make them work.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
