Abstract

In a close future, airborne polarimetric weather Doppler radars are destined to become essential tools to guarantee air-plane flight safety. Dual polarisation techniques along with Doppler capabilities will make it easier to better detect the nature of the weather phenomenon encountered by an air-plane. In this paper we present the analysis carried out on the signals generated by the polarimetric radar signal simulator developed by the proposers inside EU-CleanSky Framework, and a procedure to validate the simulated signal with real data will be shown.
