During the last war the industrial area of Pancevo, Serbia, was bombed causing numerous environmental damages. Many accidents occurred that enhanced awareness and alarm within the population. The Pancevo urban area suffers the lack of proper emission control systems. On the o0ther hand, vehicle traffic and residential heating increasing. A monitoring campaign of atmospheric pollutants was carried out in the city and its surroundings from August 2005 to May 2006. Both active and passive sampling procedures were used to determine inorganci and inorganic substances.
