Abstract

Sharing traffic informations from Smart City transports (i.e. bike-sharing, car-sharing) with traffic informations from railway stations is important in order to improve the end-user services and to optimise the energy consumption. These aspects result in a lower environmental impact. We discuss Stochastic Model- Based Analysis for studying reliability and energy consumption in the context of Smart Stations. Optimising the energy consumption of a rail road switch heating system is the proposed case study.
