Abstract

Serotonin-mediated mechanisms,inparticularviatheserotonintransporter(SERT),arethought to haveaneffectonfoodintakeandplayanimportantroleinthepathophysiologyofobesity. However,imagingstudiesthatexaminedthecorrelationbetweenbodymassindex(BMI)and SERTaresparseandprovidedcontradictoryresults.Theaimofthisstudywastofurthertestthe association betweenSERTandBMIinalargecohortofhealthysubjects.
