In the last recent years, reed bed systems (RBS) have been widely considered as a valid technology for sludge treatment. Several studies clearly demonstrate that this technology is able to dewater and stabilize sludge, improving the organic matter quality. The objective of this research is to quantitatively evaluate the stabilization process occurring in the RBS, fitting a logistic model to parameters related to sludge organic matter mineralization and humification processes.

Abstract
In the last recent years, reed bed systems (RBS) have been widely considered as a valid technology for sludge treatment. Several studies clearly demonstrate that this technology is able to dewater and stabilize sludge, improving the organic matter quality. The objective of this research is to quantitatively evaluate the stabilization process occurring in the RBS, fitting a logistic model to parameters related to sludge organic matter mineralization and humification processes.File in questo prodotto:
